I have a '08 JK X that I put 33" BFG M/T KM2's on. I installed a Rubicon Express 2.0 coil spacer lift with RE monotube shocks. The three reasons i went with a spacer lift are:
- I only needed a couple of inches to keep the 33" tires from rubbing
- when you start going higher than a 2-3" lift on a JK, you start running into problems associated with a bigger lift that I didn't want to address.
- cost was also a big factor.
My style of wheeling is up to 3.0~3.5 rated trails so the 2" lift was more than adequate for my needs.
My questions...
- what do you guys that have experience with lifted Jeeps think of the coil spacer lift?
- how well do they hold up?
- will it cause undo wear on any of the stock suspension components?
- should I have gone with the more expensive 2.5 or 3.0 coils lift?
Please keep in mind that I do not plan on going any higher than 33's on my Jeep.
With the 2" lift and 33" tires, the bumpers are 24" off the ground, the rock rails are 20" and the differentials have a little over 13" of ground clearance. The bottom pic shows full flex with my set up....
