    JK Fender Chop

How to for Chopping JK fenders. On a stock Wrangler this will allow fitment of 35's with no lift, 37's with a 2.5" (depending on which factory springs you have, you may need a .75 spacer) Then finally got off my duff about my fenders. Since the high clearance set that I want is still on back...

    Coil Spacer Lift???

I ran a RE 2.5" Spacer lift on my '00 TJ Sport for a long time. You won't have any issue. Very , very, very rarely the polyurethane space can crack or split from a problem with the run at the factory. Nothing you can do about it, and it will happen with the first 6 months if it does. As far...

    Lift Question

Couple problems with this. The franky uses an 1.5" spacer not 2 seperate 1/4 and 1/2 spacers. Not everyone has access to a machine were they can hand make their own spacers. It's great that you did, but realisticaly nearly anyone else will have to spend 125 for the daystar 1.5" spacer. You...

    Anyone a Commander Fan?

I'm a fan, but you just don't see too many done well. They are a bit to big for my wheeling style also.

    Lift Question

I've managed 4.5" of lift, but I think I'm at the limit before I start cutting down the CV shafts. Unfortunatly when Chrysler designed the front IFS, they incorporated into the diff a motor mount. So a typical cradle drop isn't easy. JBA is the only company that makes one and it's $5k... So...

    Lift Question

Not really, if you add up everything that is the $1042 Frankenlift, it comes up to be $980. Sure you can find some parts on sale or used. Saving 60 bucks or having it come preassembled... Anyway not such a the huge discount piecing it together.

    Lift Question

The difference with where you live is important, if you are in the dry southwest you can get away with an AT tire no problem. However, in GA where trails get wet and muddy for weeks at a time, you (IMHO) are much better with a MT tire. Since you DD your KJ, I would suggest one like the Cooper...

    Its funny...

Yet the 3.8l makes more HP and Torque at nearly every RPM than the old 4.0l. The weight is the performance killer with the JK.

    Lift Question

I agree, lift probably isn't need. But with a blank location, I don't know where and what terrain he does take it in, so I'm just answer questions. Your right though, first should be armor, then tires and lift.

    Lift Question

No a 265/70/17 will not fit. To run that size you'll need a Frankenlift or a JBA 4", and then it requires a lot of work. You need to stick with about a 30.5- 31" tire max (245/70/17). The 17" wheel really limits your choices too. Spacers, I'm not a big fan of. Yes, they can cause...

    Stop Hood Flutter

FYI, to future JK owners... They fixed the hood flutter about half way through 08 IIRC. Went to a stronger rubber. My 07 has the AEV hood, and I've never had an issue with the hood lifting at highway speed.

    Lift Question

First things first. Stay away from RRO!!! up until some complaints dropped this year, they have been a BBB score of F. I don't know how many stories I've heard of that they don't ship parts, ship wrong parts, refuse to do returns when they screw up the order, etc. There is one member on LOST...
