    2011 Wrangler Brochure....

Mud.... you must be talking about this diagram which showed the non-Rubicon models to have IFS fronts in 2011. Here's what you must of read, but then you never know what the Italians have in mind for Jeep... 2011 Non-Rubis Moving to Independent Front Suspension?? Dave.... no telling when...

How do I remove the back seat?

It's been over 10 years since i removed the back seat out of my '99 TJ. If memory serves me correctly, put the seat up and squeeze on the small bar that runs the entire width of the seat. You should be able to see where the latches hook to the floor at either end. It took me a couple of...

    2011 Wrangler Brochure....

Here's the new 2011 JK brochure... no pictures, just specs. They did away with some pretty good colors... charcoal gray and my favorite red rock which is replaced with deep cherry red. There's a new color... Sahara tan that may look good. The old TJs has a similar color I liked. Other than...

    Smittybilt SRCs installed, pics inside!

Mud... they really look good, but be careful!! There's been some posts on another board that they tend to dent the sheet metal on the Jeep. I can't find the link, but it was on a yellow JK and had pics of the damage just behind where the yellow Smittybilt sticker is. I saw the thread on the JK...

    Smittybilt SRCs installed, pics inside!

With 35's, I'd do gears before tossing $$$ away on the flashpaq.

    Stop Hood Flutter

Correct... the original latches are weak and allowed the hood to flutter. The new latches are much stronger. Just another issue of a long line of issues Jeep sees fit to ignore.

    Stop Hood Flutter

There was never any noise, the hood would actually flutter in a headwind, or when passing a semi on a two lane road. The new latches are a heavier compound than the crappy Jeep ones and hold the hood secure. Well worth the money.

    Stop Hood Flutter

They really don't look any different than stock. The only difference is they say DayStar and have metal rods instead of the original plastic ones you have to break getting the old ones off.

    Lifting a 2002 Liberty on a budget

Shag... this is getting interesting and I think we should get to the bottom of it. If we're going to have good tech sections here, we need to get the answers. Are there any other IFS experts here with some inputs?? I posted the following question on a Liberty forum: Does the KJ IFS have a...

    Stop Hood Flutter

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. Yes, a much harder compound. Never paid attention to the warranty, but for what it's worth I've never heard of their latches breaking.

    Smiley Rock Pictures....

My buddy said thanks!! Here's a pic I took of him last October in Moab coming down an 8 foot rock ledge. The trail was the lower portion of Fins and Things....

    Lifting a 2002 Liberty on a budget

You've gotten some pretty good responses to your questions considering this is a new web site that has yet to accumulate a large technical section. In post #6 I suggested you visit a KJ specific site by doing a Google, or following the link in my signature. In post #14 someone else also pointed...

    Lifting a 2002 Liberty on a budget

Where is your friend that asked you to "help"? Seems like you're doing the work and he's just standing by somewhere. By re reading your posts, it seems like you think you already know all the answers. It may do you some good to regroup and listen to what some of the more experienced people here...

    Lifting a 2002 Liberty on a budget

I can't help him out. My KJ is stock height with full skids and A/T tires. Don't know much more about KJ lifts than what SUPERD already mentioned in his previous post.... 2.5~3.5" max without doing a SFA conversion. My suggestion would be to get with Daspes or Google a KJ specific site (or...
